Gear for Moving Kids
Kolcraft Cloud Umbrella Stroller
This is a super small and lightweight umbrella stroller that's easy to carry around when you want to travel light. It's become our default stroller for most trips.
Ergobaby 360 All-Position Baby Carrier
This carrier is incredibly versatile, allowing you to carry your baby on your back or front, and allow your baby to face out or in when carry in front. It's also very comfortable with great back support. We use it on walks and short hikes.
ClevrPlus Cross Country Backpack Child Carrier
This is a great back pack carrier for babies and toddlers. It's comfortable for the parent and the child, and has pockets and storage pouches for extra items. We use it on most hikes that are over a mile.
Photo & Video Gear
Canon EOS Rebel T4i
This was my first "professional" camera I started using on family trips. This is a nice entry-level DSLR camera that's easy to use and takes solid pictures. There are newer versions of the rebel that offer more features, but you can get the older models for fairly inexpensive now.
Canon EOS 80D
This is a wildly popular mid-level DSLR camera has great video shooting, takes amazing photos, and feels good to hold. This is our current camera.
GoPro Hero5 Session
This is an incredible little action camera that's waterproof and has mild stabilization. It's a cube shape and doesn't have a viewing screen like its newer models, but is perfectly convenient quick action recording in Full HD. This was our first GoPro.
GoPro Hero7 Black
This is an incredible little action camera that’s waterproof and has amazing stabilization, great for recording while moving. It’s small, has an electronic touch screen, and records up to 4K, though we mostly just use it for HD.
Seasonal Gear
Slippery Racer Sled
This plastic sled is great for playing in the snow. It fits 2 people so a parent can ride with a child, or have 2 kids ride together.
